Meet Our Dental Team

Dr. Rodriguez was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. She completed her undergraduate studies in Biology at the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2012 before moving to Texas to attend the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio for dental school. There, she also completed an additional two years in a postgraduate training program, gaining advanced skills in restorative dentistry, implant dentistry, periodontal surgery, and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Rodriguez has also undergone specialized training in Implant Preceptorship and Sedation. After many years of rigorous education and training, she chose to settle in the Portland area to be closer to family, where her husband is from.

Dr. Rodriguez lives near Sherwood and has been working full-time in Portland for over five years. Kristan and her husband have been married for 21 years and have two sons, Mark and Emmett, who attend college in Portland and high school in Wilsonville, OR. In her free time, she enjoys spending as much time as possible with her children, gardening, making jewelry, and visiting Alaska for fishing trips.

Dr. Rodriguez is committed to providing comprehensive dental care and advocating for her patients’ overall health. She is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the Clackamas Dental Society, Oregon Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. She has recently begun coursework at the prestigious Kois Center in Seattle, WA, and is on track to complete the entire curriculum over the next few years.

Like me, Dr. Rodriguez believes in providing the highest quality of care in a comfortable and caring environment. Her focus is on a patient-centered practice, providing care with the same dedication she would offer to friends and family. Dr. Francois is an Accredited Member in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, which is recognized as the highest level of competence in cosmetic dentistry and represents successful completion of the most rigorous accreditation protocol in the industry. Adam is a graduate of Oregon Health Sciences University, School of Dentistry (1995). He received his undergraduate degree in Biology with a concentration in Physiology and Anatomy from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (1991).

He has extensively studied communication, cosmetic dentistry, and surgical and reconstructive aspects of implants. He maintains membership in the American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry (where he has attained Fellowship status), Oregon Dental Association, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and Washington County Dental Society (in which he is a past president). Dr. Francois has been voted by his peers in dentistry as one of the best in the Portland metropolitan area, as featured in the TopDentist issue of Portland Monthly magazine. He is experienced and committed to achieving excellence in cosmetic and implant dentistry. He is constantly evaluating the latest techniques and dental materials to provide you with the highest quality of dental care available today.

Dr. Francois opened Sherwood Dental Care in 1996 after deciding it looked like a nice community in which to start a practice and a family. In his spare time, Dr. Francois enjoys hiking, fishing, skiing, golfing, the outdoors, woodworking, and spending time with his wife, Cindy, and their two boys, Drew and Grant (not necessarily in that order, we hope)! Since sleeping on the ground, toilets that don’t flush and biting insects are not Cindy’s idea of a good time, he has big plans for his two boys. Dr. Francois lately has been competing in triathlons.
